Verne Crawford Helm. Born August 6, 1902 in Logan, Iowa. He died August 18, 1971 at the age of 69 years. He was active and interested in sports. He played on baseball teams and later was an official at many local and state basketball and football games. He was employed in this field as a salesman for several years. Later he owned andoperated the Helm Drug Store in Logan. He was a member of the Christian Church and of Chrysolite Lodge No 420 A.F. and A.M.
Verne Gaylord Helm. Born December 1, 1932 at Logan, Iowa. He died June 4, 1958
while on duty in the Atlantic Aboard the aircraft carrier Ranger. He attende
Drake University in Des Moines, Iowa, where he received his degree in Pharmacy.
He was a member of Pi Kappa Phi fraternity and a member of Chrysolite Lodge
No. 420 A.F. and A.M.
Caroline Rilla McKinney. Born February 6, 1877 in Hearn, Texas. She died April 1, 1965 at Logan, Iowa. For several years she was a rural school teacher in the vicinity of Magnolia, Iowa. She was married to Earl McKinney on March 21, 1900. They had three children , Harry, Lucille and Max. For many years she lived in the home of her son, Max, being mother to his two children who lost their mother while they were very young. She was a member of the Westminster Presbyterian Church of Des Moines, Iowa.
Earl Fisher McKinney, He was one of eight brothers. He ws born in Cedar Falls, Iowa December 25, 1872. He died July 23, 1926. His entrie life was spent on farms near magnolia and Logan, Iowa.
