| Other: | Camillia was one of eight children, all born in Tacoma, WA in the early 1900's. Her mother came over from Ireland where she had lived in a nunnery until she was 16 years old and came to America. Her father was a hard-working man of English/Scotch ancestry; he worked as a longshoreman on the Port of Tacoma waterfront. Camillia was one of the older children, so she was used to tending the smaller ones until she was old enough to go to work. She worked as an usher in the theaters in downtown Tacoma and later as a sales clerk in the major downtown department stores. She loved just going out with her sisters and friends for dancing and parties. She met and married Paul Ivan Cutler (Sr). After they were married, they had two children, Paul, Jr. and Sharon Morleen. Paul, Sr. went into the gas station business during the Depression, and Camillia kept the books and paid the bills. Later, when the children were grown,Paul took a less strenuous job and Camillia went back to work at the People's Store in downtown Tacoma. She was a very loving and caring person with family and friends. Also, she loved to have family gatherings, and those were some fun gatherings. Camillia and Paul retired and just enjoyed the grandchildren, of which there were several by then. One of her loves at that time was Bingo. They also did some traveling. Once, she went on a cruise with her sister; with her seasickness she couldn't handle that for long and even tried to get a helicopter to come take her off that rocking boat! |
