The computer often uses spaces as delimiters for seperating fields in databases or for passing command parameters as "arguments". For example, when issing a command to search for names that may accidently contain a space between them (like Mc Donald or De Mont), a search for John Mc Donald would fail to return expected results. Therefore, such names have are joined McDonald, etc. The search for the partial word (Donald) will still appear in the resulting search query.

Use web browsers 4.0 or greater

Names in ALL CAPS are descendants of James Cutler.

Names of the person who are the subject of web pages appear on the first line in red letters.

Names in web pages beginning with the surname are proceeded by a comma.

Parentheses are used within the web page files to indicate prior surnames. Web page names use underscores insted of parentheses.

Web page (HTM files) have the following naming conventions: The current surname is followed by the first name, then followed by a middle name or initial, then followed by previous surnames (in the case of women who marry). Previous surnames are preceeded and followed by an understore, for example Doe Mary Jane _Smith_ 1976 Br32Gen15.HTM. Underscores are used for these surnames because the computer operating system will not allow parentheses ( ) to be used in filenames. Following the surname is the birthyear of the person to whom the web page refers. Following that is an acronym syntax for Branch Number and Generation Number in the form of Br#Gen#. This is simply to help identify at a glance and technically for researchers of the site.
